Market Growing

Cultivating community gardens rooted in Black agricultural tradition.

Growing food, growing heritage

Market Growing brings ancestral agricultural knowledge into present-day Indianapolis growing spaces.

Our growing operation spans six lots in Indianapolis — 2.5 acres in total — anchored by a 30x60-foot high tunnel installed in 2024. The tunnel guarantees consistent, high-volume production through the season, minimizing weather risk and enabling a reliable supply for our Farm Stand and local markets.

In 2024, Moore Heritage Farms became SNAP/EBT/WIC-authorized — a key step that broadened access to fresh, heritage-grown produce for our neighbors. Through LFPA Track 1 and Track 2, our growing program connects directly to food access initiatives that bring fresh produce to the communities that need it most.
